Event Description

The 2015 Regional Mental Health Research Conference will provide researchers, clinicians, residents, mental health professionals, service users and caregivers across the Eastern Ontario region with the opportunity to collaborate, network and discuss current and future research.

Please join Dr. Katharine Gillis, Chair of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Ottawa as she kicks off the conference on September 16th, 2015. Dr. Simon Hatcher, Vice-Chair of Research for the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Ottawa will be the Conference Master of Ceremonies.

This one-day conference will feature:

- Research Informed Case Discussions
- Rapid Fire Presentations
- Lunch with Experts
- Presentation by First Responders
- Mental Health Through a Human Rights Lens

Registration for this event is FREE (coffee and tea will be provided, lunch is not included)

A second event is being held in collaboration with the University of Ottawa Brain and Mind Research Institute and the University of Ottawa, Department of Psychiatry in the evening of Wednesday, September 16th after the Regional Mental Health Conference. The "PTSD in First Responders and its Link to Suicide: What can we do about it?" will be hosted at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Social Sciences Building from 4:30pm to 7:30pm.
