Event Description

On Monday January 16, at 7 pm, The Oasis in Kanata presents Family Wellness and Coping Plans. Amanda Telford, MSW RSW, will present practical coping strategies and techniques for caregivers and their family members so they may maintain their own mental, physical, and emotional health while caring for a loved one with a mental illness.

Amanda Telford has over 20 years of experience working in mental health. For the past two years, she has been working in private practice with children, youth, and adults, providing individual and family counselling on a variety of topics pertaining to mental health. During her career, she has worked in both in- and outpatient programs at The Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre, community mental health agencies, child welfare, and homeless shelters. Amanda is also the mother of a 23-year-old son with autism, anxiety, and ADHD.

This session is free, and preregistration is not required. All are welcome. See the attached poster for more details.
